  • Homeward Bound!

Last night, we decided to put on the movie "Homeward Bound" for the girls since the boys were gone for awhile.  The girls did very well at watching it but they did interrupt it a couple of times so they could get a drink or have a frozen banana.  Of course, I told the girls they would have to sit at the table with their frozen banana and we did keep the movie going so there were parts they didn't see.

It started getting really good toward the end, though, when Shadow fell through the boards at the train station.  The girls were almost in tears over Shadow falling through.  When Chance went down to encourage Shadow to come out and they stopped it with Shadow seemingly giving up to the family, Shayla was very upset.

"Shadow fall down," she kept repeating.  We asked her if he got back up and she was insistent that he was still in the hole.  "No, Shadow fall down."  We both laughed and they went back to watching the movie intently.  When the family saw Chance come running back, the girls were so excited over it.  Next came Sassy and the girls were happy over that, as well!  Then we waited for Shadow and Shayla was still insistent that Shadow had fallen down.  We don't think she really expected to see Shadow show back up!    When Shadow showed up, Shayla was just over the moon about it!

"Shadow come back!" she said repeatedly.  Both Abagail and Shayla kept talking about Shadow and how he had returned.  We had them get ready for bed and Shayla was so thrilled over Shadow returning that as soon as her clothes were on, she came running to me repeating excitedly, "Shadow come back, Mommy, Shadow come back!"  I actually thought she sounded like she was going to cry over it!  LOL  It was way too cute!

  • Shayla

This morning, Shayla decided that she was going to play with Abagail's kitchen stuff (which is normal) but she asked me to put the apron on her (which she hasn't done for awhile).  She went into their bedroom (where we've moved all Abagail's kitchen stuff) and put several of the pretend fruit in the pockets on the apron.  She came into the living room with her pockets full of the fruit and said, "Mommy, I'm making....dinner!"  When she said the word "dinner" she threw her hands out to put more expression into what she was saying!  It was so cute.  I wish I could have caught that look on camera as it was a definite kodak moment!  LOL
  • Potty Training 2

I think we are finally getting somewhere with the potty training.  It has been several days and Shayla has done hardly any poopy in her diaper!  It's been going into the toilet!  Woo-hoo!  Way to go, Shayla!

  • The Pope's Plans for America

I found this in the blogspace and it was recommended by a trusted website so I know that they are legit!  Please read and pass on to as many people as possible! Can we say that we are ready for persecution?  If not, it's time to be preparing!  Jesus never told us we would live on a bed of roses when He saved us but He did promise us persecution from the world because as the world hated Him so it will hate those who are true believers when they stand for the truth!  Here is his website if you would like a copy to keep for yourself and to give to others!

The Pope’s Plans on Organizing Political, Economic, and Religious Activities Worldwide.

Dear Friend, The Pope’s latest encyclical can read like an ideological bombshell. However, when we study papal history with its obsession for global power, it is not so shocking. The Papacy has an agenda for the United Nations, economic institutions, and international finance organizations. The Pope has called for the crafting of a new governmental body above these groups and intends that the new body be equipped with enforcement power on a startling scale. Much more sobering is the detailed body of Roman Catholic social doctrine on which the encyclical is built and which the Papacy is in the process of instituting secularly. These documents need to be analyzed and rejected before nations and peoples unwittingly concede both temporal and religious control to the Vatican. We have outlined the heart of the major tactics found in the body of Roman Catholic social doctrine, which includes the Pope’s latest encyclical. Our article is called, The Pope’s Plans on Organizing Political, Economic, and Religious Activities Worldwide. If you wish to get the article as a Microsoft Word document, just request it and it will be sent to you. We consider this to be one of the more important appraisals we have done. We ask therefore that you forward the article to many Christians who need to take heed. We request also, if possible, that you post it on your Website or blog.

  • Shayla and her unknown humour!

Today Shayla has been pretty funny and I have to share what was said by her!

First off this morning, she was playing with the Etch-A-Sketch and made many scribbles.  I thought she did a great job with her scribbles and let her know.  Here was the conversation:

    Shayla -- Look, Mommy, look!
Mommy -- Oh, very nice, Shayla!  This is cool beans!  What is it?
Shayla -- This is cool beans!  (I had to laugh over it because it was so funny!)

While we were eating our lunch (tasty pumpkin soup), Shayla started talking, "I no whine, I a big girl, now.  Abail whine."  So we started teasing her about whining (and yes, she had been whining before lunch)!

The rolls didn't finish up until we had finished our soup so we ended our meal with very nice honey wheat rolls.  Everyone sat and waited for them to finish (just a couple of minutes, that is) and then we had a couple each since they were small rolls (still nice and hot--yummy!)

As we were finishing up the rolls I asked everyone if they enjoyed the rolls and Mark made a comment so Shayla copied him and said, "Whachoo talkin' 'bout?"  That's the normal response around here when someone thinks something is really good!  LOL  Toddlers are sooooo funny!
